What is Colloidal Silver ?

Colloidal Silver has been used for centuries due to its numerous health benefits. It is known for its antibacterial properties and has been hailed as a natural antibiotic. In fact, colloidal silver has been used as an ancient antibiotic dating back to ancient civilizations.
One of the key benefits of colloidal silver is its ability to fight against bacteria. It has been found to be effective against a wide range of bacteria, making it a valuable tool in combating infections. Unlike traditional antibiotics, colloidal silver does not target specific strains of bacteria, but rather works by disrupting the cellular structure of the microorganisms.
Another advantage of colloidal silver is that it help boost the immune system. By supporting the body's natural defense mechanisms, it can aid in preventing and fighting off infections.
Colloidal silver can also be used topically to promote wound healing and prevent infection. Its antibacterial properties make it an excellent choice for treating cuts, burns, septic wounds and other skin irritations.
Colloidal Silver - Can be taken internally or used externally.

What can it do for animals?

An easy way to maintain oral hygiene and prevent dental health issues. (The most natural sterilization tool, without the use of any chemicals, is suitable for cats with renal issues.)
Natural Antibiotic  - Urine Infection
Antibacterial - hygiene wipes, treating cuts, burns, septic wounds, and other skin irritations

No Bacteria Resistance

According to the experts, it’s extremely rare for bacteria to become resistant to colloidal silver.

Writing in the journal BioMetals in 1998, in a study titled “Multiple Parameters for the Comprehensive Evaluation of the Susceptibility of Escherichia coli to the Silver Ion,” researchers G. Zhao, and S.E. Stevens stated:
“With the rise of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, silver is re-emerging as a modern medicine because pathogenic organisms have generally failed to develop an immunity to it (i.e., the silver ion).”

According to Herbert Slavin, M.D., founder and director of the Institute of Advanced Medicine, Lauderhill, Florida:
“Reports of any pathogens developing resistance to ionic silver are rare. Some reports indicate it even kills drug-resistant strains of germs. Ionic silver is also a powerful tissue-healing agent, so much so that it has been used topically for decades in burn centers and currently represents one of the fastest growing sectors – if not the fastest growing sector – in wound care today.”

According to researcher AB Lansdown, writing in the Journal of Wound Care, April 2002:
“Silver products have two key advantages: they are broad-spectrum antibiotics and are not yet associated with any significant drug resistance.”

How to choose PPM?

Less is more with silver PPM. PPM refers to the mass of a substance per unit volume of water. Yet the BIO-ACTIVE silver concentration is the part that helps you (yes, the positively charged and smallest particles!). When particles are nanometer sized, it allows for better distribution, even in a low concentration. When a silver product contains the most active species of silver, then a safe low concentration of 1 to 23 ppm bio-active silver is all that you will ever need. Higher concentrations of total silver can lead to increasing risks for toxicity. Remember: Less is more with silver PPM. Be cautious about products which claim to have incredibly high concentrations.
(Technically, one part per million equates to 1 milligram (of a given mineral) per one liter of liquid. What is on the label of all silver dietary supplements is the TOTAL silver concentration. )

Safety

If used with under proper guidance, it is totally safe to use. However, just like other minerals, overconsumption can lead to toxicity.
Excessive use of colloidal silver can lead to a condition called argyria, which causes the skin to turn blue-gray. However, this will only occur when the user exceeds the recommended intake by a significant amount.
